Emilia Arata was born in Birmingham, England. She is from a circus family and was trained by her mother. Her father was a tight rope walker and her mother was an acrobat on the russian swing. Emilia has been performing professionally since she was 6 years old. Emilia started her career in 1995 with the Uncle Sam's Great American Circus performing only during school holidays.

In 2008 Emilia appeared in the "Big Brother" television series in the UK. She was runner up. ( 2nd place)
